New hope for kids with scarring lung disease

Summary
This study is testing an oral medication called nerandomilast in children and adolescents aged 2 to 17 who have fibrosing interstitial lung disease, a condition that causes scarring in the lungs. The main goals are to see how the body processes the drug, check its safety, and gather early signs of whether it helps control the disease. Participants will take the medication for at least 2 to 2.5 years, and researchers will monitor their lung function, growth, and quality of life.
