Scientists hunt for First-Ever treatment for devastating childhood kidney disease
NCT ID NCT06648044
Summary
This study aims to discover new drug targets for nephronophthisis, a rare genetic kidney disease that leads to kidney failure in children and young adults. Researchers will collect urine and blood samples from patients with the disease, their healthy family members, and other control groups. By studying cells from these samples, they hope to identify specific biological pathways that existing or new drugs could target to treat the condition.
