Gene therapy trial aims to heal scarred bladders in painful condition
NCT ID NCT07459790
Summary
This study is testing whether a gene therapy called Neovasculgen can help women with a severe form of interstitial cystitis, a painful bladder condition. The goal is to see if the treatment can reduce scarring caused by standard procedures and prevent the bladder from shrinking. About 180 participants will receive either the gene therapy or a placebo, and researchers will track their symptoms and bladder health for up to a year.
