Summary
This study tests a new gene therapy called Neovasculgen for women with painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, a condition causing long-term pelvic pain and frequent urination. The treatment uses a DNA-based medicine to help the bladder heal and prevent shrinkage. The trial involves 180 women aged 18 to 65 and will compare the therapy to a placebo over one year.
