New skin graft tested to close stubborn bed sores
NCT ID NCT06918548
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 05, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a lab-grown skin product called NeoThelium FT to standard wound care helps heal chronic pressure ulcers (bed sores) better than standard care alone. About 148 adults with long-lasting pressure sores will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard treatment or the standard treatment plus the new skin graft. The main goal is to see if more sores completely close within 16 weeks when the new treatment is used.
