First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding neostigmine to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) in an ultrasound-guided abdominal wall block can provide better pain relief after cesarean delivery. About 58 women having planned C-sections will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard block or the block with neostigmine. The main goal is to see how long it takes before they need additional pain medicine in the first 24 hours after surgery.
