First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a special PET/CT scan using [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE to see if it could better detect neuroendocrine tumors compared to standard imaging. 71 adults in Japan, including patients with known or suspected tumors and healthy volunteers, took part. The goal was to see how accurately the new scan finds tumors, which could help doctors diagnose and manage these rare cancers more effectively.
