Needle study tests pain relief options for chronic neck sufferers
NCT ID NCT07345793
Summary
This study tested three different needle-based physical therapy techniques to see how well they reduce pain and muscle tension in people with chronic neck pain. Researchers compared dry needling, percutaneous neuromodulation, and percutaneous electrolysis in 60 participants—first in healthy volunteers, then in people with neck pain. They measured pain levels and muscle properties before treatment, immediately after, and 24 hours later to understand which approach works best for short-term relief.
