No-Needle dental numbing: could a jet injector replace the syringe?
NCT ID NCT07498621
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a needle-free jet injector (Comfort-In) could be a less painful alternative to the traditional syringe for numbing the mouth before a simple tooth extraction. Ten adults who needed two similar teeth removed each received numbing with both methods to compare pain and satisfaction. The goal was to see if the needle-free approach could reduce fear and discomfort for patients who are nervous about needles.
