First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special wound dressing (Cytal Wound Matrix) helps wounds heal faster after surgery for necrotizing fasciitis, a serious flesh-eating infection. About 50 adults will be randomly assigned to get either the new dressing or standard wound care. The main goal is to see how quickly the wound is ready for a skin graft.
