Can a simple checklist predict which ICU patients are most at risk?

NCT ID NCT07007156

Summary

This study aims to test whether a screening tool called the NECPAL scale can help identify older patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) who are at a higher risk of dying within 90 days of admission. It will involve about 200 participants aged 75 and older. The goal is to gather knowledge to potentially improve how doctors assess and communicate risk for critically ill patients.
