First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a deep neck muscle exercise (semispinalis cervicis strengthening) to standard craniocervical flexion training can better reduce chronic neck pain and improve movement. 42 adults aged 18-35 with neck pain lasting over 3 months will be randomly assigned to either standard training alone or standard training plus the extra exercise, doing sessions three times a week for four weeks. Researchers will measure pain, neck motion, muscle strength, and disability at the start, at two weeks, and at four weeks.
