Scientists probe hidden link between neck pain and your Heart's rhythm

NCT ID NCT06554704

Summary

This study aimed to understand if the body's automatic stress-response system works differently in people with long-term neck pain. Researchers compared 28 adults with chronic neck pain to 28 healthy adults by measuring their heart rate patterns while resting and during a simple hand-squeeze test. The goal was to gather knowledge about how chronic pain might affect the nervous system, not to test a treatment.
