Breathing treatment tested as alternative to IV for stopping lung bleeding
NCT ID NCT07212452
Summary
This study tested two different ways to give a medicine called tranexamic acid to people coughing up blood. Researchers wanted to see if giving the medicine through a breathing machine (nebulizer) works as well as giving it through an IV in the vein. They measured which method stopped the bleeding faster and for longer in 172 participants.
