Ancient spice vs. pharmacy: the battle to save your teeth
NCT ID NCT06342830
Summary
This study tested whether natural gels made from curcumin (the compound in turmeric) work as well as standard antibiotic or calcium hydroxide pastes to heal jawbone infections around teeth that need a second root canal treatment. Researchers compared four different medications placed inside the tooth between treatment visits in 60 patients. They measured healing with 3D X-rays after one year and checked for pain and bacteria reduction.
