Could bee honey be a gentler rinse for your gums?
NCT ID NCT07461155
Summary
This study aims to develop and test a natural mouth rinse made from stingless bee honey as an alternative to common chemical rinses like chlorhexidine. It will involve 60 adults with mild gum inflammation (gingivitis) to see if the honey rinse can reduce plaque and bleeding as effectively, but with fewer side effects like staining or irritation. This is an early-stage pilot study to gather initial data on the rinse's safety and how well people tolerate it.
