First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This long-term study follows people with a type of inherited hearing loss (DFNA) and their family members to learn which genes cause it. Researchers will collect hearing tests, balance tests, blood samples, and skin biopsies to understand the condition better. The goal is to gather information that may help develop gene-editing treatments in the future, but this study does not offer any treatment itself.
