A simple breath of relief: can air in the nose help ventilated patients breathe easier?

NCT ID NCT07308171

Summary

This study aims to see if restoring a gentle flow of air through the nose can help patients with a tracheostomy who are on a ventilator feel less short of breath. It will compare three simple, drug-free methods: continuous nasal airflow, nasal sprays, and airflow directed at the face. The goal is to find a comfortable way to improve breathing comfort for 24 patients during their recovery.
