NCT ID NCT07231406

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether narrative therapy—a type of counseling where people explore and reshape their personal stories—can reduce mental distress, depression, and anxiety in young people aged 12 to 24 in Hong Kong who are already showing signs of moderate mental health struggles. About 770 participants will be assigned to either receive six face-to-face therapy sessions or join a waitlist. Researchers will measure changes in distress, mood, and sense of control after treatment and one month later.
