Summary
This study is testing if a drug called naloxegol can prevent severe constipation and pneumonia in adults with brain injuries who are in intensive care. These patients often need strong opioid painkillers, which can paralyze the gut. Researchers want to see if giving naloxegol early can block these harmful side effects in the body without affecting pain relief in the brain.
