Scientists probe hidden Fat's role in weight gain
NCT ID NCT06627868
Summary
This study aims to understand why a special type of fat, called brown fat, becomes less active as we age, which may contribute to weight gain. Researchers will measure how a key molecule (NAD+) is involved in this process in 68 adults, both at a healthy weight and with obesity. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to future treatments to improve metabolism and prevent diseases like type 2 diabetes.
