Chemo before surgery may boost cancer fight in rare urinary tract cancer
NCT ID NCT07155044
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 39 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving chemotherapy before surgery helps people with a rare type of urinary tract cancer (upper tract urothelial carcinoma) more than surgery alone. About 120 adults with high-risk but non-spread cancer will either get chemo then surgery, or surgery right away. The goal is to see if chemo can shrink the tumor and improve long-term outcomes like survival and recurrence.
