Hoped-for nerve pain pill trial cancelled before starting

NCT ID NCT06715462

Summary

This was a large, late-stage study that planned to test if a new drug called N0750 could relieve pain better than two commonly used medications (Cymbalta and Lyrica) in people with painful diabetic neuropathy. The trial was designed to be very thorough, using placebos and keeping both doctors and patients unaware of who got which treatment. However, the study was withdrawn by the sponsor before any participants were enrolled.
