First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at differences in a blood protein (N-CAD) and brain activity between preschool children with autism and those without. Researchers will collect blood samples and use a non-invasive brain scan (fNIRS) to measure brain function at rest and during social tasks. The goal is to better understand the biology of autism, not to test a treatment.
