Summary

This study tested a new device called MYOTRACE that measures how hard the breathing muscles are working (Neural Respiratory Drive or NRD). Researchers wanted to see if this measurement could help doctors quickly tell if a patient's breathing is getting better or worse. The study included 56 adults with lung diseases like COPD or asthma. The goal was to compare the device's readings with a lung specialist's assessment.
