New breathing monitor tested in hospital wards

NCT ID NCT05661019

Summary

This study tested a new device called Myotrace to see if it can help monitor a patient's breathing status in the hospital. It involved 56 adults with various lung conditions like COPD, asthma, or pneumonia. Researchers compared the device's readings to a lung specialist's assessment to see if it could reliably tell if a patient was getting better, staying the same, or getting worse.
