Scientists probe Eye's oxygen link to childhood nearsightedness

NCT ID NCT07473401

Summary

This study aims to understand how the eye uses oxygen in children with nearsightedness (myopia). Researchers will compare 40 children with myopia to 40 children without it, all aged 8-13. They will use special eye scans to measure oxygen extraction and blood flow, and ask about lifestyle factors, to learn more about what causes myopia to develop.
