Nighttime lenses tested to halt Kids' worsening eyesight
NCT ID NCT07294404
Summary
This study tested whether wearing special rigid contact lenses overnight (called orthokeratology) can slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. Researchers followed 53 children aged 8-15 for one year, measuring how much their eyes grew in length. They also used a special imaging technique to see if the lenses work by changing how light focuses on the outer parts of the retina.
