New combo treatment aims to halt Kids' rapidly worsening eyesight
NCT ID NCT06523504
Summary
This study is testing whether using low-dose atropine eye drops together with special 'DIMS' spectacle lenses can better slow the progression of moderate to high nearsightedness in children aged 6-12. Researchers want to see if this combination is more effective than using either treatment alone at controlling eye elongation and vision changes. The trial will enroll 410 children across multiple centers to compare the safety and effectiveness of different treatment approaches.
