First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether using special defocus lenses together with low-dose atropine eye drops can better control nearsightedness (myopia) in children aged 7 to 12. Over 18 months, researchers will measure changes in eye prescription and eye length. The goal is to find a more effective way to slow myopia progression and reduce the need for stronger glasses.
