NCT ID NCT06816446
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether special spectacle lenses can slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children aged 6 to 12. About 185 children with mild to moderate myopia will wear either standard single-vision lenses or myopia-control lenses for two years. After one year, the control group switches to the special lenses. The goal is to see if these lenses reduce the worsening of vision and eye growth, which could lower the risk of serious eye problems later in life.
