Eye drop & special glasses team up to fight Kids' worsening eyesight

NCT ID NCT06431841

Summary

This study is comparing two ways to slow down the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children. It tests whether using low-dose atropine eye drops together with special DIMS spectacle lenses works better than using the same eye drops with regular single-vision lenses. The trial involves 111 children aged 4 to 16 whose eyesight has been getting worse. Researchers will measure changes in their eye prescription and the length of their eyeballs over time.
