Eye drops vs. special lenses: the battle to save Kids' eyesight

NCT ID NCT06282848

Summary

This study aims to compare two common treatments for slowing nearsightedness (myopia) in children: low-dose atropine eye drops and special 'DIMS' spectacle lenses. Researchers will follow 80 children aged 7-9 for two years to see which treatment works better for kids with different rates of vision worsening. The study also seeks to understand how these treatments affect the back of the eye (retina) to improve future care.
