Special glasses aim to halt worsening eyesight in teens
NCT ID NCT05818033
Summary
This study tested whether a specially designed spectacle lens called CARE1.02 could safely slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in teenagers. Researchers compared these special lenses to regular single-vision glasses in nearly 800 adolescents aged 12-17 over one year. The goal was to see if the new lens design could better control the worsening of eyesight and the associated lengthening of the eyeball.
