Summary
This study tested a new kit (MycoGenie) that uses a blood sample to detect a serious fungal infection called invasive aspergillosis in people with blood cancers. The test also checks if the fungus is resistant to common medicines. The study involved 350 adult patients at high risk for this infection. The goal was to see how accurate the new test is compared to standard methods.
