Trial halted early: could a common nausea drug help MG patients tolerate treatment?

NCT ID NCT04226170

Summary

This study aimed to see if adding the anti-nausea drug ondansetron could help people with myasthenia gravis better tolerate the stomach side effects (like nausea and diarrhea) of pyridostigmine, a standard medication. It was a small, short-term trial for adults who either had trouble with these side effects or had stopped the drug because of them. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only two participants.
