Can a calming playlist ease the pain of labor?
NCT ID NCT07392112
Summary
This study tested whether listening to relaxing music could help reduce pain and anxiety for women during childbirth. Fifty-two pregnant women planning a vaginal delivery were randomly assigned to either listen to a special calming music playlist in the delivery room or receive standard care. Researchers measured the women's pain and anxiety levels at different stages of labor to see if the music made a difference.
