First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether playing music at different speeds (slow, medium, or fast) before feeding helps preterm babies in the NICU reach full feeding sooner. About 284 preterm infants will be randomly assigned to hear music at one of three tempos or no music. The goal is to see if a specific tempo improves feeding, growth, and hospital stay length.
