Simple tools tested to make smear tests less stressful
NCT ID NCT07276607
Summary
This study tested whether listening to calming Nada Yoga music or squeezing a stress ball could help reduce anxiety and pain for women during routine Pap smear tests. It involved 128 women in Turkey who were randomly assigned to try one method, both, or neither during their test. Researchers measured their anxiety and pain levels to see if these simple, non-medical tools could make the screening experience more comfortable.
