Scientists test if your favorite songs can fight loneliness

NCT ID NCT07494604

Summary

This study is exploring whether listening to music alone can help reduce feelings of loneliness and increase a sense of social connection in adults over 70. Researchers will first interview participants to understand what types of music they find most helpful, then test different listening approaches in a controlled experiment. The goal is to find simple, accessible ways to improve emotional well-being in older adults.
