Your playlist in the OR: can music calm surgery anxiety?
NCT ID NCT07206186
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to music during the start and end of anesthesia can help reduce anxiety and improve comfort for adults having eye surgery. 100 patients will be randomly assigned to either listen to their own music or have no music, and researchers will compare their anxiety levels and overall experience. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free method can make surgery less stressful for patients.
