First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether playing lullabies, white noise, or using silent headphones helps children aged 6 months to 12 years relax during MRI scans. The goal was to see if these sounds could reduce the amount of sedation medicine needed and help kids wake up faster. 112 children took part, and researchers measured how much anesthetic was used and how quickly they recovered.
