Scientists test which massage gun works best before a workout

NCT ID NCT07389395

Summary

This study aims to see if two common muscle therapies—percussion (like massage guns) and instrument-assisted soft tissue massage—help reduce muscle fatigue and improve strength when used before exercise. Researchers will test 20 healthy, young adults with a sedentary lifestyle. Each person will try both therapies in a crossover design, and results will be measured with strength tests, a fatigue survey, and a device that checks oxygen levels in the muscle.
