Could a simple strength test predict frailty in seniors?
NCT ID NCT07414888
Summary
This study aims to understand if a difference in strength between a person's dominant and non-dominant side is linked to sarcopenia, a condition of age-related muscle loss. Researchers will measure arm and leg strength in 140 adults aged 65 and older, both with and without sarcopenia. The goal is to see if this strength imbalance could serve as a new, simple indicator to help identify older adults at higher risk.
