Can One-Sided weakness predict muscle loss in seniors?

NCT ID NCT07414888

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This observational study will compare muscle strength between the dominant and non-dominant sides of the body in 140 older adults (65+) with and without sarcopenia. Researchers will measure handgrip, biceps, and quadriceps strength to see if larger strength differences are linked to sarcopenia. The goal is to find a simple way to identify older adults at higher risk for this muscle-wasting condition.
