Tiny dose during lung scope could prevent dangerous spasms

NCT ID NCT07035301

Summary

This study looked at whether giving a small dose of a muscle relaxant drug during a common lung procedure called a bronchoscopy makes the process safer and smoother. Researchers compared two groups of 153 adult patients: one group received the low-dose relaxant during anesthesia, and the other did not. They measured problems like throat spasms, severe coughing, and breathing difficulties to see which approach worked better.
