New study probes muscle stiffness and balance in kids with spastic hemiplegia

NCT ID NCT07538297

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at how muscle stiffness and tone relate to balance in children aged 6 to 12 with spastic hemiplegia (mild muscle tightness on one side). Researchers will use a handheld device to measure muscle properties and a balance system to test standing stability. The goal is to better understand these connections, not to provide a treatment.
