New drug cocktail tested for Tough-to-Treat blood cancer
NCT ID NCT03731832
Summary
This study tested a combination of three oral medications—pomalidomide, ixazomib, and dexamethasone—for adults with multiple myeloma that has come back or stopped responding to prior treatments. The goal was to see if this drug combo could control the cancer and delay its progression. For some patients whose cancer showed early signs of returning, a fourth drug (cyclophosphamide) was added to try and regain control.
