New drug combo aims to outsmart aggressive blood cancer

This study is testing whether using two newer immunotherapy drugs (teclistamab and talquetamab) at specific times during treatment can help people with high-risk multiple myeloma live longer without their cancer getting worse. It will enroll 50 adults with newly diagnosed, aggressive forms of the disease. The treatment plan is complex and personalized, involving chemotherapy, possible stem cell transplant, and a long period of maintenance therapy to try to keep the cancer in check.
