New drug cocktail targets deadly fungus in blood cancer patients

Summary
This study tests a combination of three antifungal medicines (liposomal amphotericin B plus posaconazole or isavuconazole) in 60 adults with blood cancers who also have a serious fungal infection called mucormycosis. The goal is to see if the combo can clear the infection and improve survival. Participants receive the drugs and are monitored for side effects and recovery over several months.
